The Role:
This is a pivotal role within the school, with responsibilities across both Schools.
Primary (KS1/KS2):
? Develop strong foundations in reading, writing, speaking, and listening
? Deliver engaging literacy lessons aligned with the English National Curriculum
? Support early language acquisition, including for EAL learners
? Promote a love of books, storytelling, and creative expression.
Secondary (KS3–KS4, with potential KS5):
? Teach English Language and Literature to a high academic standard
? Prepare students for IGCSE (Cambridge & Oxford AQA) and potentially A-Level
? Develop analytical, interpretive, and extended writing skills
? Foster confident discussion, debate, and critical thinking
Across both phases, you will contribute to a coherent whole-school English strategy, ensuring
progression and consistency.
